The Promised Rant

I realize I've been doing a bit more posting than writing these last couple of days, but the truth is I've been speechless- with laughter about the guy who transformed into a goat, awe about the pink iguanas ans hive-mind jelly-fish and the sky- lights, rage about the young women who abused seniors in the 'home', and because i occasionally stop griping to eat and sleep;

You had to know, Gentle Reader, that, in-between, I had time to watch what goes on here and get royally pissed about something. Marisol is back, seems better, and even though I have had uninvited wanderers in my room twice, she was bagged and dragged away without too much fuss. What, you ask, is that B*tch griping about now? I am griping because I cannot rely on my weekly annoyances to keep to their own schedules- arrive on time and leave on time, so I can avoid them! The activities calendar stated that a Gospel Choir -6 ladies- 3old enough to live here, 3 young, scrubbed, and earnest, would sing at 1 PM on Wed. Now, I admit some of my grief is my own fault. I don't usually bother reading the activities calendar; I rely on habit- singing is Wednesday afternoon at 1;30- AVOID- Art Class is Tues. & Thurs AM, be there. They came early, and interrupted my short hour of pleasure at lunch-time with some impromptu hallelujahs and other such stuff. I am used to being bombarded by such noise, and wove my conversation between them. Michael understood, he was amused. But then, they started to sing! It was not yet one o'clock.
I could not be heard, could not hear. was lost in the crashing chords. As far away from heaven as this place is, I am sure they were heard! I am not strong enough to propel myself in the wheelchair, and my aide was not do to take me away until one- besides that, I had an obligation to the PT staff to do my daily walking exercising at one, or a little before. Naturally the day the screechers were early, my rescuers were late! After what seemed like forever , I was taken to the hallway where I nearly ran, so eager was I to escape the racket. Then I was allowed to seek the sanctum and peace and quiet of my cubicle.
Goddess! I do not wish to be disruptive- though I did LONG for my little cardboard horn! But, not all of us here are Christian- there are Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and one loud-mouthed Witch! Grrrrr! If they must come here to shout their Gospel, they could have the courtesy to do it within the parameters they set- so people who do not wish to be 'blessed' can get the hell out of there!!

OK, done griping- I am happy that I have this forum, and relieved that I have a quiet lunch time to look forward to, today. And, that's why I have been silent- I will exercise better discipline in the future. I will have some good news in next post- promise!
